Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced NP/PA to join our 501C3 Nonprofit team! We are looking for someone to work out of BOTH our WIxom and Troy stations. We are looking for someone who wants to help us expand our programs. As a NP/PA you will be working on one of our mobile RV/SUV units traveling and partnering with agencies in Detroit, macomb, lansing, Monroe, Flint and more. We treat an underserved population that struggles with homelessness and Substance Use Disorders. Our mission focuses on bridging the gaps in Primary Care, mental health and STD care, we bring healthcare to those who need it the most. As a Provider, this is a mission that we can all get behind, making a difference every day! We travel to homeless shelters, transitional houses, community agencies and more to bridge the gaps of care in primary care and mental health. You will be managing a changing caseload of patients every day who suffer from a variety of substance use disorders, primry health gaps, STDs and mental illnesses. You will be assessing their needs, ordering or performing tests, interpreting results, and offering diagnoses, prescriptions, and referrals, as needed. In addition, you will be managing patient reporting and charting, and assisting our other providers as needed with difficult cases.
Responsibilities
- Offer medical advice and service to all clients in our office practice, including diagnosing issues and illnesses, prescribing appropriate medications, and offering referrals as needed to other specialists
- Manage non-controlled psychiatric/primary care medicaitons
- Screen Treat STDs and promote HIV PReP
- Order or perform tests as needed, and analyze results in a timely manner to offer diagnosis
- Manage a reasonable patient caseload while providing exceptional care 15-25 patients/day
- Properly complete all appropriate paperwork for each patient seen and maintain accurate records on EMR- Clinic Tracking
- Complete all Notes and Billing in a timely Manner.
- Participate in ongoing training and support through conferences and events to continue to offer the best, up to date care for every patient
- Assist in reviewing additional patient charts as needed and offer medical assistance or advice
Qualifications
- All licensing and certification required to perform medicine within the state of Michigan
- Graduation from an NP program with expereience in addiction medicine, primary care or psychiatric patients is a plus
- Strong attention to detail
- The ability to provide exceptional care to each and every patient
- All staff are required to Train to Drive RV units
- Cheuffeurs License (RMC reimbursed) prior to start date
- Certified Medical Exam (CME), RMC reimursed, completed prior to start date.
Compensation: $55.00 per hour
